Music and Art
The Dino Ciani Festival would like to strengthen its relationship with the local territory given the close tie that Dino Ciani had with the Dolomites. For this reason, some concerts will take place in venues in the local Ampezzan and Cadore areas that have a significant artistic value: some churches will be open specifically for the festival public and specialists will provide guided tours illustrating the history of each particular site.
Participants will be able to enjoy, for example, the frescoes of Cortina's churches and the medieval paintings of the church in Ospitale as well as the small enchanting churches of Vigo di Cadore with their opulescent XIV century pictorial decorations.
A series of thematic lectures will take place in partner hotels in the evenings. For example, a presentation of the restoration of Raffaello's 'Marriage of the Virgin', which is exposed in Milan's 'Pinacoteca di Brera', will be discussed along with the performance of Liszt's composition inspired by the historic painting.
