The Festival

Starace, Gioacchino

Born in Naples in 1994, Starace began his dance training as a modern dancer in a Neapolitan school. In 2010, he won a scholarship to study at some of the most prestigious schools in New York. That same year Starace started his academic classical training at the Ballet School of the San Carlo Theatre. He received a scholarship from the “City of Spoleto International Competition” and joined the Ballet School of the Rome Opera, where he had the opportunity to perform leading roles in the school’s productions and participate in its Russian Tour. In 2015, Starace performed in the Pink Floyd Ballet by Roland Petit at the Terme di Caracalla with the corps de ballet of the Rome Opera directed by Eleonora Abbagnato. Upon completing his academic studies, he joined the corps de ballet of La Scala Theatre in Milan.
