Academy

Accademia Dino Ciani
Cortina d’Ampezzo
July 24 – August 7, 2011

The mission of the “Accademia Dino Ciani” is to give young, outstanding, international artists the opportunity to develop their skills, to work on repertoire, to live and breathe in an atmosphere of collegial musicianship, and to extend their results onto the concert stage.

The “Accademia Dino Ciani” will take place in Cortina d’Ampezzo during the Dino Ciani Festival from July 24th to August 7th 2011. The course will bring together young pianists and violinists with professors, musicologists and professional musicians. During this period, students will take masterclasses, attend concerts and lectures and perform in concerts in Cortina and in the surrounding towns.

This year, the Academy introduces a Chamber Music Workshop with Andras Keller. During the second week of the Festival each young pianist will have the opportunity to work with Academy violinists from the Toho Gakuen School of Music, Japan. All pianists should be prepared to play at least two pieces for violin and piano.
